How to Cover Up Your Bachelor Party

Monday, August 10th, 2009

Men have been having bachelor parties for hundreds of years, and women have been suspicious of these all-male rights of passage for just as long, oftentimes for good reason. However, there are effective ways to cover up your bachelor party and convince your significant other that you were all on your best behavior throughout the trip…

Plant some fake evidence: Make her feel bad for ever doubting you in the first place by planting some fake evidence in your pockets. Some great ideas are maps of botanical gardens and attractions or museum brochures.

Prepare a text message in advance: You should never call your girlfriend or wife while you’re out drinking, but there’s no reason why you can’t prepare a nice text message in advance. Send it to her at about 10:30 or 11:00. Something like “exhausted after an evening at the zoo, but wanted to say I love you. Heading to bed now. Talk soon. xoxo” would work quite nicely.

Agree on a cover story: If there’s one thing women love to do, it’s compare notes. So if Joe tells his wife you went jetboating on Saturday afternoon and Mike tells his girlfriend you were at the botanical gardens, that’s a problem. The best thing to do is take some time to concoct a cover story, perhaps during the plane ride to your destination. Don’t make it too detailed, but agree on what major activities you did each day and evening, which – hint, hint – probably won’t include swilling beer and getting lap dances from strippers. Have everybody memorize your fictitious itinerary, and test each other periodically during the weekend and the plane ride home.

One of the Top Reasons to Have a Montreal Bachelor Party: The Food

Tuesday, August 4th, 2009

If you head to a tourist trap for your bachelor party, the food may be disappointing to say the least. You’ll probably be stuck buying overpriced, bland fare, and the menu entrees likely won’t vary all that much from one establishment to the next. There are many reasons to have a Montreal bachelor party (strip clubs, women, night clubs, strippers), and the food is definitely one of them. Here are some advantages of dining out in North America’s gourmet capital:

Selection: There are close to 5,000 restaurants in Montreal, so you’ll have an unbelievable number of options to choose from.

Variety: You can get pretty much anything you’re craving in Montreal. There are establishments specializing in Chinese, Italian, Indian, and of course French cuisine, so you can enjoy foie gras or a fiery plate of curried chicken. There are also options if you want a quick bite after the bar. Grab some fast food or try some poutine, a signature, very cheesy Quebec dish.

Price: The truth is, you can spend practically whatever you like when you go out for dinner in Montreal. There are plenty of fine dining options, or you can opt for a more casual setting if you’re looking for something quick and inexpensive.
